What this tool does

Useful for attachment limits, profile images and online forms. The tool searches for the highest JPEG/WebP quality that fits your chosen budget; with permission, it reduces dimensions if necessary. A successful result is always checked against the actual byte limit.

Before you start

Smaller file size can reduce quality or dimensions. Very small targets may be impossible at your minimum quality; the tool tells you instead of labeling an oversized file as successful. Transparency becomes white in JPEG; original EXIF and other metadata are removed.

Processed on your device

File names and image bytes never leave your device. Optional usage measurement records only tool events, language and entry point; trial and purchase outcomes are grouped by entry point. Declining measurement does not restrict tools or downloads. Event records are retained for up to 90 days. Change your choice using Usage measurement settings in the footer. Optional statistics also group visits and outcomes as search, direct or referral. They do not contain search terms or referrer URLs.
