SVG file guide

Vector graphics described as XML

What it stores

SVG describes shapes and text as a vector image. It scales differently from a PNG, whose detail is limited to a fixed grid of pixels.

When to choose it

Export a self-contained SVG icon or diagram as PNG when an upload form requires a raster image. Choose the output dimensions before saving.

What to check before converting

PNG output is no longer editable vector artwork. Coverton rejects scripts, external references and unsafe SVG structures. Fonts or resources not embedded in the SVG may render differently.

Available SVG tools

Convert SVG to PNG

Rasterize a safe SVG drawing at a chosen width and height and download it as PNG.

JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, SVG · Image

Resize images

Set a target width and height and choose whether images fit, fill or stretch into that area.

JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, SVG · Base64 (.txt)

Encode images as Base64

Saves the image as Base64 code in a TXT file. It does not read or extract the words in the image (OCR).
