Supported formats and settings
- Input formats
- TXT, MD, JSON, CSV
- Output formats
- Base64 (.txt)
- Per-file limit
- Current device memory
- Total selected-file limit
- Estimated by file count and format
- Number of selectable files
- 1–50
Recommended input total: 8 MiB on mobile / 32 MiB on desktop. Low memory can reduce the effective limit.
Your files are not uploaded to a conversion server. A new result is created in your browser.
How to use this tool
- Choose files in TXT, MD, JSON, CSV format. Maximum files per batch: 50.
- Check the input format and file order, then start processing.
- Download the Base64 (.txt) result and check its content and quality.
What this tool does
- Encode UTF-8 text bytes into a Base64 string for data transport or development.
- Read TXT, MD, JSON, CSV input and save the Base64 (.txt) result as a new file.
Limitations
- Base64 is reversible encoding, not encryption, and usually increases size.
Frequently asked questions
Encode text as Base64 — What should I check before using this tool?
Base64 is reversible encoding, not encryption, and usually increases size.
Which files can I choose?
Choose files in TXT, MD, JSON, CSV format. Maximum files per batch: 50.
How can I adjust the result?
The input is checked and processed without additional settings.
Understand the formats
JSON
JSON represents objects, arrays, strings, numbers, booleans and null. Property names use double quotes; comments are not part of standard JSON.
Format JSON for inspection, flatten suitable records into a CSV table, or combine JSONL records into a JSON array.
JavaScript cannot represent every large integer exactly. CSV has no universal type system, so a JSON-to-CSV round trip can change types or nested structure. Keep the source data.
CSV
CSV stores rows of delimited text. Quoted fields can contain commas and line breaks; encoding and header conventions vary between applications.
Use CSV for exchanging a simple table. Select the correct character encoding and inspect the column names before converting to JSON.
Leading zeros, dates and long identifiers can be changed by spreadsheet software when opened. Coverton neutralizes formula-like cells in supported table exports; encoding-only conversion preserves the original text.
When is this useful?
Encode UTF-8 text as Base64 for transport. This is not encryption or password protection.
