What it stores

WebP supports lossy and lossless image compression, transparency and animation. A tool may support only a subset of those features.

When to choose it

Convert a still WebP image to JPG when a receiving application rejects WebP, or to PNG when a transparent background matters.

What to check before converting

Coverton’s browser image tools export still images. Do not use a still-image conversion to preserve an animated WebP sequence. Output size depends on the source and chosen quality.
